The rule of thirds is best used during interviews. While filming, make sure the interviewee's outer eye in on the outer intersecting point. This makes the interview more balanced for the viewer to see. In most professional interviews, you will see the outer-eye on the intersecting point. It will become habit as you practice. :-)
